Picking with Old Goat
Visit with a unique local artist who focuses on the production of cigar box guitars. Alan Dillard will be with us on October 19th at 2pm to discuss his craft and demonstrate on a number of guitars which he has built. Alan is a widely displayed artist on permanent display in Alabama as well as part of a traveling cigar box guitar exhibit which started at the Blues Hall of Fame and is currently traveling the United States. He builds some custom, full-size guitars as well.
The event is free to attend and open to the public.
Enter a raffle for a chance to win an original cigar box guitar! Tickets will be sold at the SHAC for most of the fall leading up to the event and after with 1 for $10 of 3 for $20. The drawing will take place after the bulk of SHAC’s fall events in mid-December. You do not have to be present to win.
